MUSC HR handles the initial onboarding which consist of the general MUSC orientation for all new hires. After the initial orientation, new hires will go through a Radiology specific orientation. This orientation reviews all things MUSC and the expectations within Imaging. Gives resources and tools to be successful in training. Leaders have training schedules they provide all new hires. We focus on providing adequate training and not just throwing new hires into the clinic before being ready.

We have an excellent education department that works with the modality supervisors to ensure onboarding is complete and at a pace that works with the new hire’s level of experience.

In the Diagnostic department we train new hires for a month. If additional time is needed, we will work with you to get you competent to work alone.

For other training, MUSC offers a pathway program and dual-modality roles. This allows those in Diagnostics to move into advanced modalities.
