Good day, yes you can check the status by logging into your candidate profile and the system will show you the status of your application. Unfortunately our system does not send out automatic updates so you would need to log into your profile. Thank you for sharing your question.

Each role is different depending on how soon the incumbent is leaving the role. The department manager will reach out if they would like to schedule an interview. Otherwise your status can be found in your applicant portal.
